Phil Bloom, president of American Scenic Design Inc, is a prominent figure in the theme park industry. Renowned for his expertise in developing and implementing technically sophisticated rides, Bloom has an impressive client list that includes Walt Disney Imagineering, Universal Creative, Paramount, and Warner Bros.
Bloom has created groundbreaking attractions such as The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Transformers: The Ride at Universal Orlando, as well as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance for Disney parks. These attractions have pushed the boundaries of innovation and storytelling, captivating audiences worldwide.
Bloom’s background as a licensed architect and a set designer for theatre and film means he brings a unique combination of skills to his work. His early career at Walt Disney Imagineering allowed him to contribute to iconic rides like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, and Indiana Jones Adventure: The Temple of the Forbidden Eye.

In addition to rides, Bloom has worked on shows, walkthrough experiences, theme park facades, interactive games, playgrounds, exhibits, and restaurants and shops.
