Todd Martens joined the Los Angeles Times in 2007 and serves as the publication’s video game critic. He covers interactive entertainment, video games and theme parks. Martens is heavily interested in themed entertainment design. In recent years, he has been approaching theme park journalism from an intellectual point of view. Martens visits Disneyland “way too often” and loves cats.
Previously, Martens reported on the music business for Billboard Magazine. He has also contributed to various books, including The Big Lebowski: An Illustrated, Annotated History of the Greatest Cult Film of All Time. His Star Wars knowledge resulted in his work appearing in a Los Angeles Times book called A Galaxy All Their Own.
