Zeina Dagher became CEO of Emaar’s entertainment division in 2019 after eight years in various roles with the company’s flagship Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building. Much of Emaar’s attraction portfolio is located inside the Dubai Mall near the base of the 828m-tall structure.
This includes the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, KidZania, VR Park, Ekart Zabeel, and the Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink. The mall is also home to the Dubai Opera concert hall and event space. All of this is in line with the company’s mission to build not just attractions, residencies or retail environments, but communities.
Dagher’s journey with Emaar began as a management associate in 2008. Her path into the entertainment side of the business came via a role as head of the At The Top observation deck at the Burj Khalifa. She is now responsible for ensuring growth, profitability and positive guest experiences at Emaar’s visitor attractions.
In addition, Dagher is charged with identifying new entertainment opportunities in emerging markets where the company already has a presence, including Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. In Turkey, Emaar partnered with the Rixos hotel group to launch the Land of Legends theme park.
