Adventure World Warsaw Parks & Resort’s Groundbreaking Ceremony set for July 21, 2012

Adventure World Warsaw Parks & Resort, Central Eastern Europe’s first large scale theme park is set to break ground on July 21st, 2012.

Adventure World Warsaw will feature theme park attractions; Poland’s largest indoor water park (The Aqua Dome); shopping, dining and world class entertainment in the Entertainment Village and two themed hotels with more than 800 rooms.  Adventure World Warsaw will cover around 230 hectares.  Forecast visitor numbers to the theme park, water park, entertainment village and hotels are estimated at 2.6 million in 2013 and over 4.6 million in 2024.

Peter Jan Mulder, CEO of Adventure World Warsaw says, “This resort celebrates the renaissance of Poland as it emerges into the world marketplace as a leader in the hospitality and entertainment industry.”

“More than 100 of the most creative and accomplished executives in the theme park and destination resort business have joined together to build this ambitious project.  Adventure World Warsaw will be a compelling new brand that will command the attention of families and young adults.  It will immediately join the ranks of the world’s top theme parks and resorts when it opens its gates in 2015.”

Adventure World Warsaw will draw on the best theme park and resort experience with over 100 architects, attraction providers and IP consultants.   The project’s creative team is comprised of such well-known companies as AGS Architects, Imtech, JoraVision, Tebodin, Vekoma Rides Manufacturing, and Hafema.

Mulder continues, “More than 100 of the most creative and accomplished executives in the theme park and destination resort business have joined together to build this ambitious project.  Adventure World Warsaw will be a compelling new brand that will command the attention of families and young adults.  It will immediately join the ranks of the world’s top theme parks and resorts when it opens its gates in 2015.”

The Adventure World Warsaw theme park consists of five lands filled with state of the art attractions set against a backdrop of fairy tale and legend theming.    Visitors to the theme park will enter via a passage under the Grand Resort Hotel into a buzzing bazaar filled with shops and restaurants.  Adventure World Warsaw attractions will include super coasters, themed indoor rides, water slides, wave pools, interactive fountains, boat cruises and carousels. 

The five lands will be highly themed:

  • LOST KINGDOM with spectacular high fall stunts and interactive 5D theater.
  • OLD POLAND featuring Polish architecture and storybook characters from local folklore. 
  • CREATURE LAGOON  where “kids” of all ages interact with mythical creatures.
  • LAND OF LEGENDS where thrilling high-adrenaline roller coasters and shows have Mayan and Egyptian theming.
  • CASTLE ISLAND gives guests the opportunity to meet Merlin and fearless dragons, enjoy King Arthur’s River Ride and “take off on a magic broomstick”.
