Disneyland Paris closed again over COVID-19

Disneyland Paris has closed once again following the latest direction from authorities in France. The resort reopened in July after shutting in response to COVID-19.

Disney has reopened parks in TokyoShanghai, and Hong Kong . However, Disneyland is still closed in California and Disneyland Paris is shutting in France.

Disneyland Resort recently fired back after California released restrictive guidelines under which theme parks in the state could reopen with modifications.

Disneyland Paris issued the following statement: “In line with latest direction from the French authorities, Disneyland Paris will be closing end of day on October 29.

Disneyland Paris taking bookings from December 19

“In anticipation of celebrating the Christmas holiday season we will be taking reservations from December 19 to January 3 and hope to be open based on prevailing conditions and government guidance at that time.”

“Disneyland Paris will be closed from January 4 through February 12. Please check back on the website for regular updates. If you have a booking with us during the above-mentioned periods, please check here for our latest commercial conditions.

“We thank you for your continued loyalty and understanding during this difficult period.”

Museums are also affected, with the French government ordering them to close. The Louvre has said it will not reopen before December 1.

“In line with the measures taken by the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Musée du Louvre and Musée National Eugène Delacroix are closed up until Tuesday December 1, 2020.

“All those who have purchased a ticket for this period will automatically receive a refund—no action is required. Thank you for your understanding.”

Disneyland Paris previously revealed that it is building one of the largest solar canopy energy projects in Europe, developed in collaboration with Urbasolar.
