Dubai International airport has stays on top as world's number one airport.
Dubai International's annual traffic for2016 reached 84 millionpassengers, compared to 78million in 2015.The 7 per cent growth rate is attributed to a number of new airlines servicing the airport and 11 new passenger destinations.
Gulf News report that Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said, “With our forecast for 89 million passengers in 2017, Dubai International is closing the gap on Atlanta and Beijing for the top spot in overall traffic.
“Our focus in 2017 and beyond will be on making the airport experience even more delightful, engaging and comfortable for our customers.”
The growth in passengers visiting and travellingthrough Dubai supports the Emirate'svision for developmentwhichincludes a host of major attractions to tempt tourists.
