Italy’s Gardaland theme park has announced the name of its new drop tower ride, which is set to open next month.
The family-friendly attraction is called Wolf Legend, Gardaland operator Merlin Entertainments said in a new press release.
The name reveal took place during a unique event at Gardaland, with visitors receiving mysterious numbered spheres with the following clue: “At the howl of the wolf, you will reveal the name of the new attraction.”
Next, visitors were given puzzle pieces with the attraction’s name on them. These were raised to the sky, with a drone capturing images of the name from above.
“Wolf Legend promises to captivate both young and old daredevils alike with its gripping storyline, challenging them to undertake a daring ritual with courage and determination: to plunge into the jaws of the giant stone wolf and free it from the curse that binds it,” said the press release from Merlin.
Gardaland installed the new ride earlier this year after taking delivery of its 25-metre-high purple octagonal tower.
“We can’t wait to inaugurate this attraction that is destined to become a new icon of Gardaland,” said Sabrina de Carvalho, divisional director of Gardaland.

“It promises to be not just a fun experience but also a real adventure, which will spark the imagination and guarantee excitement for our visitors.”
Gardaland Resort is home to the Gardaland amusement park, the Legoland Water Park, a Sea Life aquarium, and three hotels. It welcomes nearly three million visitors every year.
