Ghibli Park, the world’s first Studio Ghibli theme park, has announced an official opening date for its fifth and final area, Valley of Witches.

The Japanese theme park has also shared new images of its latest land, as well as a Valley of Witches poster designed by Studio Ghibli director Goro Miyazaki.

Valley of Witches, based on Kiki’s Delivery Service and Howl’s Moving Castle, will launch on 16 March 2024.

It will join Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, Hill of Youth, Dondoko Forest, and Mononoke Village, which opened earlier this month.

Valley of Witches will contain Ghibli Park’s first amusement park-style rides, including a merry-go-round and an aerial carousel-ride.

The area is also home to the witch’s house from Earwig and the Witch, and the bakery where Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service and her black cat Jiji live. As previously confirmed, Valley of Witches includes a life-size Howl’s Moving Castle.

Additionally, Ghibli Park has announced a new ticketing system to begin next year. On sale from 10 January 2024, the new options include a ticket to explore all five areas

Via a press release, the upcoming ticket options and prices are as follows:

Ghibli Park big stroll ticket
