Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana has sent a flock of plush turkeys out on the first test run of its new gravy-themed coaster.

Due to open next month, Good Gravy is located in the theme park’s Thanksgiving area and is manufactured by Vekoma Rides, the Dutch roller coaster specialist.

Alongside footage of the Good Gravy test run, Holiday World wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "A flock of our feathered friends tested Good Gravy! They truly gobbled up this experience. They loved it so much they came back for seconds!"

Good Gravy is North America‘s first Vekoma Family Boomerang coaster. On a train shaped like a giant gravy boat, riders will enjoy a thrilling experience along a cranberry-coloured track, reaching a top speed of 37 miles per hour.

They will also pass through an enormous cranberry jelly can and past giant kitchen utensils, including a 20-foot-tall whisk and an 18-foot-tall rolling pin.

“The gravy boat-shaped train is a masterpiece,” saidpark ownerLauren Crosby last year.

“The handle and front were sculpted by hand, including the drip of gravy at the front, and the hand-painted designs on the side are inspired by vintage dinnerware designs, with a Thanksgiving twist.”

Good Gravy to open next month

Good Gravy is built for families,” said Holiday World president and CEOMatt Eckert.

“We’re a park known for high-quality, customroller coastersthat excel in their categories, and Vekoma has delivered yet another for us. Between the tight turns and quirky theme, this coaster is going to be an instant family favorite!”

Good Gravy will open to the public on 11May.
