Disney reveals the Frozen-themed restaurant, toy shop, sweet shop and playhouse

Disney has shared new concept art of Hong Kong Disneyland‘s upcoming Frozen-themed land, due to open in November this year.

As well as the new World of Frozen concept images, Disney has unveiled the land’s restaurant, toy shop, sweet shop and playhouse.

World of Frozen is the first and largest Frozen-themed land coming to Disney parks. It will feature two attractions – Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.

The Frozen Ever After boat ride will take guests to Elsa’s ice palace on the North Mountain. Riders will meet Olaf and Sven in a “snowy forest under an ice crystal tree created by Elsa”, Disney said in a press release. After the journey, visitors will be welcomed back to the theme park by Anna, Elsa and Olaf.

Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs – the world’s first Frozen-themed coaster – was built by Wandering Oaken and is powered by Olaf and Sven, who “work together to pull the sleds to the top of the lift hill”.

“Before hopping on the coaster, you will spot Oaken in his sauna and walk by a column he’s working on that is carved with trolls,” said Disney.

Disney has revealed the land’s restaurant, Golden Crocus Inn, is named after the national symbol of Arendelle. The sweet shop, called Northern Delights, will sell candy and frozen treats.

Rides, shops and F&B

As for the toy shop, Tick Tock Toys is operated by a wood carver and his wife. It will sell toys, souvenirs and collectibles. The land’s playhouse will offer an interactive play experience in the woods.

Earlier this month, Walt Disney Imagineering released a video of a test ride on Frozen Ever After. Prior to that, Disney released new images and footage of Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.

World of Frozen is the first of three Frozen experiences coming to Disney’s parks. Frozen is part of the Fantasy Springs expansion at Tokyo DisneySea, and another Frozen land is under construction at Disneyland Paris.
