Stars of the JURASSIC WORLD films Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and BD Wong reprise their roles as Owen Grady, Claire Dearing and Dr. Henry Wu, bringing their characters from the silver screen to Universal Studios Hollywood’s much anticipated mega attraction, “Jurassic World—The Ride,” opening this summer.

Universal Studios Hollywood has revealed Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are reprising their roles for Jurassic World – The Ride. Universal has also teased more details about the Mosasaurus.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and BD Wong reprise their roles as Owen Grady, Claire Dearing and Dr Henry Wu, bringing their characters to the mega attraction, opening this summer.

This marks the first time the cast will appear as their characters outside of the Jurassic World films for a theme park attraction.

Jurassic World fans will also get a look at the Mosasaurus in her massive Aquarium Observatory, through state-of-the-art visual effects.

At more than 60 feet in length and tipping the scales at over 30,000 pounds, the Mosasaurus moves just inches away from guests in her glass enclosure.

Universal Creative collaborated with Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) on the Mosasaurus, who appears in a realistic underwater environment using a combination of visual effects and technology, including motion parallax, which shifts guests’ perspective of the Mosasaurus as she moves around the tank.

A series of lighting enhancements allow the aquarium to intuitively change from day to night, and there will be visual changes to the environment during inclement weather, creating different visual scenarios that guests can experience based on when they ride.

Jurassic World—The Ride will debut an original storyline that takes place within the Universal Studios theme park on the day the Indominus rex escapes, as depicted in the film.

The innovative new ride will fuse groundbreaking technology and special effects with new dinosaurs from the Jurassic World film, replacing the ageing Jurassic Park – The Ride.

In a recent TV spot (above), Jurassic World’s iconic Tyrannosaurus rex and Mosasaurus are seen invading Universal Studios’ movie studio backlot, sending cast and crew running for their lives.
