Responsible future
Maurer Rides has taken a significant step forward by becoming the first company in the market to reveal comprehensive sustainability data and is the first to complete and publish a thorough analysis of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
This information is supplemented by extensive research on the firm’s practices regarding energy consumption, waste management, diversity and pay disparity, and other areas. This report demonstrates Maurer Rides’ commitment to honesty and accountability in its sustainability efforts by openly discussing areas for improvement in addition to highlighting its accomplishments.
Jörg Beutler, CEO of Maurer Rides, says: “Our mission has always been to design and build rides that inspire and excite, but not at the expense of our planet or people. This report lays the foundation for our long-term pledge to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance into the core of our business strategy.”
The report highlights the firm’s major achievements, including a 28% reduction in energy usage per linear metre of manufactured roller coasters compared to 2021. This demonstrates the benefits of the Maurer Rides’ cutting-edge design and manufacturing procedures. Meanwhile, the report also acknowledges issues, including gender diversity and the ongoing need to reduce the firm’s environmental impact.
Maurer Rides’ sustainability report, published in compliance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, marks a significant milestone in its sustainability efforts and sets a benchmark for future improvement. The organisation is dedicated to providing annual reporting to share progress and difficulties in developing a sustainable and responsible business.
Beutler concludes: “We invite our stakeholders, partners, and the broader community to review our efforts and join us in this important conversation. Together, we can push the boundaries of innovation and sustainability, ensuring a thrilling yet responsible future for amusement rides worldwide.”
