Award-winning new hire has 20 years of experience in the industry

PGAV Destinations, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, has announced that it has appointed Greg Crane as a full-time Senior Designer. In this role, he will be responsible for leading design projects and executing design strategy.

Crane brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He initially studied theatre performance and design at Wichita State University and has now had his designs featured in over 500 productions and attractions around the world. His portfolio includes work in theme parks, entertainment, trade shows, live events, TV, parades and more.

A wealth of industry experience

In his most recent position, Crane worked for Cedar Fair as Corporate Director of Planning and Design, where he worked on a variety of projects such as the award-winning Mystic Timbers at Kings Island.

He has also designed for other industry giants, including SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Ripley Entertainment, Herschend Family Entertainment, and Six Flags Theme Parks, as well as working on live events for well-known brands like the Dallas Cowboys, Feld Entertainment, Tournament of Roses Parade, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Mazda, and Miller Lite

“Greg has been working with PGAV Destinations since 2001 as a freelance designer on a variety of projects. During that time, he has become a real industry leader in terms of everything from attractions to shows to scenic events,” says PGAV’s CEO, Mike Konzen.

“His versatility and innovative design approach will help us continue delivering the best destination experiences possible as the global destination market continues to evolve and innovate.”

“I’m an admirer of PGAV’s culture, and I’m excited to join the team and get started,” adds Crane. “PGAV has an incredible portfolio of clients with diverse needs across different markets, so I’ll be able to apply my design skills in a variety of ways.”

PGAV Destinations celebrated the completion and opening of several projects across the US during 2020, despite the challenges presented by the global pandemic. Earlier this month, the team also spoke to blooloop about the company’s annual Voice of the Visitor report.
