Red Raion, the CGI studio specialized in media-based attractions, has announced a partnership with Italy’s number one theme park, Leolandia. The studio has produced the digital content for the park’s new museum attraction, inside a new area for children and families.
Inside the themed area, younger visitors and their families will be immersed in a world that they’ve previously only seen on television, feeling like superheroes as they enjoy a real, first-person adventure.
Museum will feature unique digital screen ‘windows’
Initially, the new signature attraction was planned for 2020 but was postponed as a result of COVID-19. It will feature a series of digital screens that act as the museum’s windows. These will display the world outside, but with a twist – by looking through, guests will see the protagonists of the story on the outside, getting up to mischief.
“Creating content for Leolandia has been a pleasure and also a huge responsibility,” says Valeria Rizzo, PR and Business Development Director at Red Raion. “Working with an attraction dedicated to kids is a real challenge because it’s essential that the final result matches the expectations of such a demanding audience, who desires to live a super immersive experience.
“We are proud and happy that all the young guests of this new peak attraction will get to visit Leolandia and to live an exciting, immersive adventure in the Museum!”
“We were approaching digital technologies for the first time and collaborating with a company like Red Raion was a very important added value for us,” says Enrico Ira, Creative Development Director at Leolandia. “We have found a young and very experienced and professional team that supported us at all stages of the attraction development.”
Last month, the studio also announced a new partnership with FICO Eataly World, the Italian theme park dedicated to food, for which it has been producing digital content.
