Ripley Entertainment purchases more land on Universal Boulevard in Orlando

News
Ripley Entertainment. Universal Boulevard. Orlando. Land.

Ripley Entertainment has purchased 6 hectares of land along Universal Boulevard to add onto a 9 hectare plot it purchased in 2016.

The attractions operator purchased the new land from Orlando Equity Partners for $7.6m, while the 2016 purchase cost $23m. It gives the company 15 hectares of land close to Universal Orlando Resort’s next planned expansion to the northeast.

Ripley Entertainment has not commented on the purchase, however it is expected that the operator will use the land to develop an attraction for one of its brands not currently in the Orlando market. One of the company’s Guinness World Records, Haunted Adventures or Mirror Mazes attractions has been suggested as an option for tourists looking for a half-day entertainment option.

Last year, Ripley opened an office in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam as part of its commitment to its business in Asia.
