Scruffy Dog Creative Group (SDCG), a leading creative design and delivery company, is celebrating the success of Wonder Garden, a highlight of the Riyadh Season in 2023/4, which has won the Best Design for a Leisure & Entertainment Facility category at the 2024 MENALAC Awards.
The project was created by Sela, a leading Saudi Arabian developer of mega projects, in collaboration with Scruffy Dog Creative Group.

Colourful & captivating experience
Riyadh Season is an annual winter festival, and its most recent edition took place from October 2023 to March 2024. Wonder Garden was a standout attraction for 2023/24 and showcased the potential of contemporary themed entertainment design.
The garden was divided into themed areas, each having its own unique character, atmosphere, and attractions. Visitors enjoyed a visual and culinary treat, with surprises at every turn. The attraction offered exciting rides, interactive games, and multimedia experiences to appeal to all ages and interests, without sacrificing the creative theme.
The client had a clear vision to create a flora-inspired utopia that appreciated nature’s beauty. The project’s success stemmed from its capacity to provide an immersive experience that combined entertainment and a visually compelling setting inspired by nature.
“Our role was focused on developing the client vision and developing the creative, producing the concept masterplan and the technical development,” says a spokesperson from SDCG. “We undertook this role in close partnership with the Sela team and contributed to bringing this vision to life.
