Simuline Launches 4D Motion Seat VR Experience at CinemaCon

News

Experts in 4D technology, Simuline, launched its brand new 4D VR experience at CinemaCon earlier this month.

Combining VR headset technology with the company’s 4D motion seat, 4DX VR had previously attracted 10, 000 ‘riders’ a day at the world’s largest technology and mobile show.

The company demonstrated the next-gen immersive experience at CinemaCon using three VR films – ‘Before the Sunset’, ‘HELP’ and ‘Wooden Coaster’. The movie action in the headsets was precisely coordinated with the movements of the motion seats.

According to Simuline, visitor reactions were overwhelmingly positive with comments including: “This rollercoaster experience was fantastic, like a real one, ” and “Very impressive. It’s a new level of entertainment watching a 360 degree film with motion.”

4DX VR has been designed to enhance all kinds of VR content including game and entertainment content, short films and even promotional movie trailers.

The launch follows the company’s recent announcement of a new partnership with VRstudios.

Simuline rolls out a new VR X-rider at the IAAPA Asian Attractions Expo in Shanghai, 14-16 June 2016.
