Innovative ride concepts: from zombies to Pegasus
Simworx will share some of its turnkey ride concepts that illustrate the distinctive features of its rides, with a focus on the wide-ranging narratives that can be told through its attractions. The company’s most recent turnkey ride concept is Zombie Metro Mayhem, which capitalises on the innovative storytelling approach of the Metro Mover attraction. The ride takes visitors on an adrenaline-packed metro adventure as they seek to escape a city full of zombies.
In addition, the firm will be bringing the Overdrive AGV concept back to IAAPA Expo Europe, which they initially launched at the event in 2022. Riders role-play as either cops or criminals, in a dramatic pursuit across a city. The chase experience concept has been developed in partnership with Katapult and makes use of the AGV’s capabilities.
Simworx will be sharing details of the Pegasus Flying Theatre, with the ride’s first location opening in Europe later this year. This innovative ride provides an exciting immersive experience – which is both scalable and cost-effective.
Ralf Schipper, business development director of Simworx, says: “We’ve been busy identifying new potential in our product range and working on solutions and story concepts to suit every client. Our Pegasus Flying Theatre has been a big hit since its launch at IAAPA last year with orders secured and interest from a wide range of customers, so we will continue to increase awareness of it again during this year’s show.
“Our team are eager to re-connect with our customers, suppliers, industry peers and media and theme park design partners during the show and hopefully gain some new prospective clients.”
Simworx recently celebrated the launch of its new 4D cinema experience Jurassic Pier at Clacton Pier, UK. The new ÂŁ500,000 investment is part of a growing range of attractions at the venue.
