Six Flags to introduce immersive elements and personalised experiences

Six Flags has launched what it calls “the largest digital alliance in the theme park industry” to revolutionise the guest experience at its parks.

Per a press release, Six Flags has partnered with Google and Dell, as well as technology consulting company HCLTech, data cloud company Snowflake, mobile app developer Fueled, and entertainment company Pure Imagination Studios.

Through these collaborations, the company will redefine the visitor experience using data and technology. It will also add “unparalleled” immersive elements, and provide a personalised experience for each visitor.

Data and tech to accelerate innovation

Six Flags will streamline the pre-visit planning process via smart recommendations, and enhance the visit itself via personalised, AI-driven notifications and virtual assistant support. After the visit, guests will receive recommendations and offers thanks to insightful analytics.

Through its partnership with Pure Imagination Studios, Six Flags parks will introduce AR and VR experiences, as well as enhanced interactivity.

“Our guests are at the center of everything we do, and we want to give them the best possible experience when they visit our parks,” said Selim Bassoul, CEO of Six Flags.

“By partnering with the best-in-class companies, we are using data and technology to accelerate innovation and revolutionize the theme park industry.”

Omar Jacques Omran, chief digital officer at Six Flags, added: “Six Flags is leading the way on technology, harnessing the power of an alliance to accelerate innovation and seamlessly blend brands into the guest experience through multiple touchpoints in the park.

“Our guests will benefit from the latest technology to make their visit more personalized, enjoyable, and memorable.”

Six Flags’ new alliance comes after the company reached a deal to merge with Cedar Fair. The combined group will oversee 42 amusement parks and 9 resort properties across 17 US states, Canada and Mexico.
