Sunkid, a leading provider of attractions for the whole family, has recently installed the Traumland-Kran, an interactive tower themed as a construction site staple for a family amusement park.
Traumland auf der Bärenhöhle is a family attraction approximately one-hour south of Stuttgart, Germany, which is designed to offer domestic and international audiences quality family time.
The park gains its name (which translates as dreamland on the bear cave) from its proximity to one of Germany’s top-visited caves which contain a large number of bear skulls and bones, alongside a restored bear skeleton.
Since it was founded in 1974, one of the park’s mottos has been “stagnation equals regression”, meaning its operators have a continuous investment programme that involves the introduction of new rides and attractions on a regular basis.
Heading on up
Sunkid’s interactive tower, the latest themed as a crane, offers both a trip ten metres in the air as well as a beautiful vantage point for guests.
A small pull on the rope will start the ride experience by moving the double-seated vehicles upwards, benefiting from the assistance of motor-powered support. Every rider controls their own height independently, and a rope release will let the double seat gently lower again in a controlled fashion.
Repetitive up and down movements are possible, giving passengers complete freedom over their personalised experience. During the ride cycle, the Tower will also spin around its own axis, rewarding riders with unique all-around views of the surrounding park.
“A family classic”
Sunkid has installed over 110 of its towers around the world, creating a family attraction with a distinctive octagonal design.
A Sunkid representative says “The Sunkid Tower is a classic and one of the most popular Family Rides in the world. It is hardly surprising, then, that the people in charge of Traumland auf der Bärenhöhle picked this interactive ride specifically.”
Last year, Sunkid supplied the world’s first concave loading conveyor belt for Ain Dubai, the tallest and largest observation wheel in the world, located in the UAE.
