Themed Entertainment Association announces Summit agenda and park event

News
Disney World of Color Fountain Show

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, has announced its full agenda for the two day TEA Summit including an exclusive in park evening event. Those with a Summit Day Two ticket will have the opportunity to explore the latest additions to the original Disneyland Resort’s second gate.

The evening festivities will commence at 6 pm with the TEA Cocktail Reception on Adventure Lawn, from where Disney staff will escort TEA participants to the park and through security.

Attendees will then have the opportunity to see the Stuntronics Spider-Man technology in action, flying above the new Avengers Campus with seemingly gravity-defying, acrobatic movements, followed by some free time to explore other areas of the park such as Cars Land and Hollywood Land.

Day Two attendees will enjoy World of Color, Disney California Adventure’s nighttime spectacular at Pixar Pier. A showcase of Disney classics with an array of effects and a kaleidoscope of colour, the night show combines powerful fountain jets, fire, fog and laser effects with Disney animation and a rousing score, projected on a vast water-screen. The show returns to the park after an extended refurbishment period.

Time for rides

Once the show concludes, two attractions will be reopened for TEA guests, again found in Avengers Campus.

The park’s latest dark ride, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, will also be open, providing an interactive action-packed experience. TEA Summit attendees will have the opportunity to test their web-slinging skills in a mission with Spider-Man. A replica of the attraction is also soon set to open in France as part of Disneyland Paris’ 30th-anniversary celebrations.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is a reimagining of the classic Tower of Terror experience found around the world. This version, unique to California, soars high above the park. TEA Summit attendees will need to help rescue the cosmic crew of misfits from the blockbuster Marvel films, culminating in a series of thrilling freefall drop sequences.

The full TEA Summit agenda can be found on the TEA website. New sessions announced include a session from Michael Blau at ADK, the Catalyst Awards, and in-depth sessions around the 2021 Thea-award winning projects, grouped by theme. Tickets can be purchased for the Summit and Gala online.

The TEA recently announced it will offer TEA DEI&A and NextGen Scholarships to help advance diversity, equity and inclusion within the industry.
