Themed Entertainment Association opens nominations for TEA Masters

News
TEA Masters nominations open 2023

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, is now inviting nominations for the TEA Masters of Their Craft programme.

The TEA Masters of Their Craft programme honours the accomplishments of artists, writers, producers, engineers, and craftspeople who have contributed significantly to the industry via their originality, vision, and skill.

Representing the highest level of craft & professionalism

“If you know someone who represents the highest level of craft and professionalism in their field, we invite you to submit their name for consideration as a TEA Master,” says the TEA. “Share your stories; tell us why you feel they deserve to be honored. Nominate a colleague you know… who you’ve worked with… shared experiences with… and whose work has impacted our world.”

Every year, this programme honours a select group of people whose abilities best represent the highest standards in their fields and who have used those abilities to improve both their professions and the themed entertainment industry. Each TEA Master has developed a body of work that exhibits consistency in quality and execution. The TEA Masters, who are typically only known to their peers and collaborators, contribute to the creation of memorable stories, rides, attractions, events, and locations that enthral, excite, and educate visitors from all over the world.

Nominations are open until 1 June 2023. To find out more about the process and the criteria, please click here.

Last week, the Themed Entertainment Association hosted TEA INSPIRE 2023 at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. The event included the first-ever INSPIRE Leadership Forum and an insightful State of the Industry panel discussion, led by Al Cross of PGAV Destinations with panellists Winston Fisher of AREA15; Michael Mack of Europa-Park; Dan Memis from Universal Creative; Evi Sari of WildBrain CPLG; Darcy Troy Pollack from MGM Resorts International and IAAPA’s Jakob Wahl.

An awards gala also took place during TEA INSPIRE 2023, celebrating the winners of the 29th Annual Thea Awards.
