Opening in spring 2024, Fantasy Springs offers three areas based on Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan

Tokyo DisneySea has announced the names of the new attractions and experiences opening next year as part of the Fantasy Springs expansion, the park’s eighth themed port.

Launching in spring 2024, Fantasy Springs contains three areas inspired by Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan. These are called Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest and Peter Pan’s Never Land. The new port also includes a hotel, restaurants, and a shop across a total area of around 140,000 square metres.

Frozen Kingdom is set after the events of 2013 film Frozen. In the Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey attraction, guests will board a boat and experience “an epic and heartwarming tale of two sisters that discover only true love can thaw a frozen heart”, says a press release.

The Frozen-themed area in Fantasy Springs also features the Royal Banquet of Arendelle restaurant within Arendelle Castle, as well as Oaken’s OK Foods.

Guests in Rapunzel’s Forest will see a tower where the princess has lived since she was a child. Here, they will find the Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival boat ride. Highlights in the Tangled-themed area also include the Snuggly Duckling restaurant.

Peter Pan’s Never Land is based on the fictional island of Neverland from Peter Pan. It will house the Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure attraction, where guests will join the Lost Boys, Peter Pan and Tinker Bell to rescue John from Captain Hook.

Additionally, guests can dine in the Lookout Cookout restaurant, created by the Lost Boys using parts of a shipwreck. In Pixie Hollow will be an attraction called Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies.

On the first floor of the Fantasy Springs Hotel is a gift shop selling merchandise. The new Tokyo Disney Resort hotel has two buildings, one offering deluxe rooms and the other luxury rooms. It also has three dining outlets – the Fantasy Springs Restaurant, Grand Paradis Lounge and La Libellule.

Elsewhere, Hong Kong Disneyland’s new Frozen-themed land is due to open in November this year. Another Frozen land is under construction at Disneyland Paris.
