Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has announced it has won the Golden Crown Award for ‘Outstanding Motion/Flying Theater Supplier (International)’ for its installation in Happy Valley Tianjin, part of the Overseas Chinese Town Group (OCT).
OCT and Happy Valley have received a number of Triotech attractions in recent years. The 60-seat XD Theater is a key feature in OCT’s parks due to the high hourly ride capacity, as well as its wide audience demographic, Triotech said.
Happy Valley Tianjin features more than 30 rides and attractions spread across 200,000 square metres of space. Found in the ‘Viking Harbour’ land, its XD Theater opened last year in July.
Triotech’s sales general manager for China, Han Jie, says: “We are honoured to receive this recognition. Triotech will continue to develop more innovative products for the market and contribute to the overall recovery of the Chinese entertainment market.”
“It is a pleasure to cooperate with Triotech”
OCT is China’s biggest theme park operator, formed in 1985 and welcoming over 50 million visitors to its sites annually. It manages the operations of eight Happy Valley-branded parks alongside other attractions, making it one of Asia’s leading theme park groups.
Triotech’s XD Theater uses industry-leading motion technology to provide a fully immersive experience, combining more than 40 3D stereoscopic films with special effects. Triotech’s XD Theater is fully scalable from four to more than 100 seats depending on operator requirements, traffic, and space.
Tianjin Happy Valley’s equipment director adds: “When we are in our peak season, there are more than 5,000 daily visitors on average, on weekends we reach around 10,000 people. The XD Theater keeps showing movies throughout the whole day. It is a pleasure to cooperate with Triotech. Triotech helped and supported us a lot during installation. The support of Triotech engineers on site was very good.”
Triotech will be attending the upcoming China Amusement Expo in Beijing, found at booth #2209 on 28-30 June 2022.
The company recently revealed the success of its Storm simulator, which has seen continued popularity within FEC-type venues such as amusement arcades.
