ALES Founder Gerry Robinson Passes Away, aged 75.

The whole membership is sad to announce that Gerry Robinson, the founder member of the Amusement and Leisure Equipment Suppliers trade body (ALES UK) and the organiser of numerous trade shows and seminar programmes, passed away in the early hours of August 31 at the age of 75.

He had been receiving long-term medical treatment for cancer and spent his final months in a local gerry robinson chairman of ALEShospice under the loving care of his Wife Rosemary and family.

In addition to Gerry’s incredible work for ALES UK he was also the main link for many major exhibitions and seminars including DEAL, RAAPA, IAAPI and EAS, and holding numerous Key administrative positions within other trade organisations.

His close work with UK Trade & Investment ensured that he was able as an Accredited Trade Organiser to provide Hundreds’ of grants to UK exporting companies, fundamental in enabling them to commence exporting into the industry that he loved and supported with such commitment for over 30 years.

He was known by everyone with the industry gaining their total respect because of his nature and his highest of standards in everything he did and will be so missed by everybody that he touched especially his positive outlook and smile.

The Funeral is to be held at Worcester Crematorium, on 19 September 2014 at 12:15  and the family welcome all  to attend. They are asking for family flowers only but if so desired donations can be sent to St Richards Hospice, Wildwood Drive, Worcester, WR5 2QT who helped so much in Gerry’s final days.
