The UK will have the largest international pavilion at the show, supported by the UK division of the Association of Amusement Leisure Equipment Suppliers (ALES).

“Once again the UK will have the highest number of participants from an overseas country at DEAL, with about 20 companies, ” confirmed Gerry Robinson, Secretary of ALES-UK.

“Regular exhibitors will be showing a wide range of equipment and services from go-karts, custom-made costumes, admission systems, plush toys and games, the famous Elton Derby roller-ball game, waterpark services, and much more, ” he added.

One UK exhibitor returning to the show this year is Rainbow Productions, a costume characters company that has found much success in supplying the Middle East market.

“No other exhibition gives Rainbow Productions the opportunity to meet such a diverse range of leisure clients in the GCC and many other territories. We’ve exhibited at DEAL since 2007 and I feel we are now becoming established as the leading supplier in the GCC of quality costume characters, ” said Simon Foulkes (left), Sales & Marketing Director at Rainbow Productions.

Rainbow Productions has supplied in a number of projects across the Middle East, including the Dubai Shopping Festival, Sharjah Water Festival, the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011, and Fun Funny Kids in Lebanon.

Foulkes is confident that the entertainments industry in the Middle East will continue to thrive. “The region is affluent and family-oriented, placing importance on high quality leisure experiences.  For this, the leisure industry requires content and services; we see these developing further in the future, as the region strives to compete for income from tourism as well as to meet the demands and expectations of their local audiences.”

DEAL 2011 will welcome some of the amusement industry’s leaders, with regional and global names such as Amusement Services International (ASI), Falgas Industries, Zamperla Middle East and Warehouse of Games. In total, more than 200 exhibitors from more than 30 countries are expected to participate.

“We are proud to have such stalwart supporters as ALES-UK returning to the show again. This year’s show promises to deliver a truly international round-up of the best equipment and services in the amusements and leisure industry, ” said Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Chairman of IEC.

Now in its 17th year, DEAL 2011 will take place from April 4-6 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. For more information visit www.themeparksdubai.com
