Professional motorsport simulator company launches new compact, more affordable simulator for attractions market; fastest lap contest will get pulses racing at Expo

Cruden launches its new interactive, full motion Hexathrill simulator, designed specifically for the needs of the global attractions market, at the IAAPA Expo next week (November 16th, 2010; booth 1451). Using the exact same advanced technology as the professional simulators Cruden supplies to the world’s leading motorsport teams and automotive researchers, Hexathrill is a lighter, more affordable and flexible version that uses less floor space and delivers a faster return on investment.

“Hexathrill is a response to feedback from non-motorsport specialist attractions such as Family Entertainment Centres (FECs) where floor space is at a premium and where there is opportunity for the most sophisticated simulators at a more affordable price, ” says Frank Kalff, Cruden’s commercial director.

The simulator’s footprint requirement, weight and height have been reduced by 30 percent or more, making Hexathrill much easier to tranport and install. Hexathrill will comfortably fit standard room heights of around 2.5m and is less restricted in terms of floor loading. The efficient design has enabled Cruden to launch the new Hexathrill beneath €100, 000, providing unprecedented affordability for a professional motorsport simulator and without compromising Cruden’s accurate force feedback and motion-cueing technologies.

Fastest lap competition

On each day of the IAAPA Expo, Cruden is staging a fastest lap competition for visitors to its stand. Guests are invited to drive a lap around the Watkins Glen (USA) circuit in a GT race car, with times posted on a daily leader board. The fastest lady and gentleman at the end of each day will win a pair of Piloti driving shoes.
