Cutting edge immersive entertainment technology to be seen for the first time during the Hong Kong show.
Mocap Games is set to unveil its brand new immersive entertainment system at next month’s industry trade show, the Asian Attractions Expo (AAE) 2012 in Hong Kong. The show has already sold out and it’s expected that 4500 industry professionals from around the world will be in attendance.
SCI-SHOOTA is a next-generation Virtual Reality Entertainment system and is the first of its kind that combines the three essential components of Immersive Display, players, Body Tracking and an additive and competitive Game experience. The Mocap Games system has been developed for the entertainment industry and is suitable for use in theme parks, family entertainment centres and retail environments.
SCI-SHOOTER can be seen at booth number 2618, where interested parties can watch the innovative product in action. The real-time entertainment system places players “literally in the game” and can be played competitively against others in the virtual space. This offers a unique experience that is unattainable on other types of home or amusement systems and it’s thought that this kind of development is driving the emergence of the DEO market internationally.
Mocap Games use exclusive motion capture suit technology in order to represent movements made by the player and SCI-SHOOTER is described as being “a high-fidelity system ideal for application in the public-space.”
Mocap Games is the interactive entertainment division of the UK company Animalive. Animalive’s ‘ChatterBox’ technology combines motion capture systems and real time animation rendering software. The Mocap Games division builds on this technology. The ground breaking Mocap Games suit allows gamers to interact and control virtual-characters in real-time, experiencing gaming like never before.
