Tokyo Disney Resort® announced that the total combined attendance at Tokyo Disneyland® Park and Tokyo DisneySea® Park during the first half of this fiscal year (April 1 to September 30, 2010) amounted to 12, 954, 000 persons. This amounts to a 5.3% increase (653, 000 persons more) over the attendance figure for the same period last year, and is the Resort’s second highest attendance for the first half of a fiscal year.

This favorable attendance can be attributed to several factors. In the first quarter, the new Tokyo Disneyland special event, “Disney’s Easter Wonderland, ” and the Tokyo DisneySea special event, “Tokyo DisneySea Spring Carnival, ” which was held for the last time, were both very popular. Also, we were fortunate to have good weather. Thanks to these factors, the first quarter attendance was higher than last year’s. Then in the second quarter, despite the record-breaking summer heat wave and the inclement weather during the latter half of September, the summer programs using water held at both Parks and the return of the attraction, Captain EO, successfully kept attendance at about the same level as in the previous year.
