ADG provides wave system for Cyan Waterpark

Aquatic Development Group (ADG), a leading water park and recreational design, construction and manufacturing firm, has announced a collaboration with Cyan Waterpark and ProSlide Technology. Under this partnership, the firm will deliver three WaveTek wave systems to the outdoor water park in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This represents a key landmark for the leisure and entertainment landscape in the Kingdom.

Cyan Waterpark is the first waterpark in Saudi Arabia to provide an inclusive in-water experience, with a wave pool that welcomes men, women, and children together. The attraction occupies a prestigious location in downtown Jeddah and has quickly established itself as a leading travel and entertainment destination for all visitors.

ADG is providing its innovative WaveTek wave generation technology for Cyan Waterpark’s adult wave pool, kids wave pool, and figure of eight shaped action river.

Relaxing & having fun together

Toheeb Abiodun Ajiboye, head of lifeguards at Cyan Waterpark, explains: “At the end of the day, the goal is to ensure that the residents, locals, and tourists that are visiting are happy and that everyone is on the same page.”

He shares that the changing perception of waterparks has led Cyan Waterpark to seize the opportunity to bring people together, regardless of gender. This forward-thinking move highlights the park’s dedication to embracing societal changes, in addition to being a sound business decision. This shift has received support from both the government and residents and has contributed to the promotion of tourism.

Although visitors have provided varying feedback, they have mostly been very positive. They are enthusiastic about the wave pool itself, enjoy the experience, and comment that the change is successful.  The park operators report that guests express their love for the facility as it allows them to play and relax together, and so it has contributed to making the visitor experience even more enjoyable.

This project is a significant achievement for Cyan Waterpark as it reflects its aims to give back to the community and provide all guests, including individuals, couples, and families, with the opportunity to enjoy leisure time and relaxation in a fun-filled setting. With this move, Cyan Waterpark continues to set the benchmark for immersive and inclusive leisure experiences in Saudi Arabia and further afield.

Earlier this week, Aquatic Development Group revealed a new website for its WaveTek wave system, which is engineered and constructed at ADG’s New York facility.
