Aquatic Development Group’s COO selected to join MENALAC Awards Jury and M&S Committee

News
Bruce Quay ADG MENALAC Jury

Aquatic Development Group (ADG), a leading water park and recreational design, construction and manufacturing firm, has announced that its COO, Bruce Quay, has been chosen to join the MENALAC Awards Non-Operator Jury Panel, where he will take part in the judging for the 10 different categories. He has also volunteered to join the nonprofit Middle East and North Africa Leisure & Attractions Council’s (MENALAC) Manufacturer and Supplier Committee.

MENALAC is a trade association that represents the region’s leisure and attraction providers, of which ADG is a proud member.

The goal of the Manufacturer and Supplier Committee is to collaborate with local authorities throughout the MENA region to help streamline information sharing and make clear the legal requirements for its members. Quay joins MENALAC with more than thirty years of experience in the aquatics sector. He has a proven track record of expanding companies in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries.

Julie Kline, marketing manager at ADG, Julie Kline is also a member of the MENALAC Events Committee, which organises events that benefit MENALAC members, such as conferences, in-country focus events, informative webinars, and the much-anticipated Awards Gala.

ADG expands business in the MENA region

Quay joined ADG in the early 2000s as executive vice president and worked with Tom Lochtefeld to launch FlowRider in the North American market. Bruce returned to ADG as chief operating officer and partner in the company following a prosperous career running his own business. In this role, his primary goal is to quicken the expansion of ADG’s wave and surf equipment systems segment.

Developing EpicSurf, ADG’s most ambitious product launch in its 50-year history, is an essential component of Quay’s growth strategy. The world’s first fixed deep-water surf wave system made entirely in the US, EpicSurf was introduced in 2021. Quay aims to see EpicSurf dominate the in-land stationary surf market and drive ADG Waves and WaveTek’s global expansion.

“I am honored to be a part of the 2024 MENALAC jury panel and participate on the Manufacturer & Supplier Committee,” says Quay.

“MENALAC has an exceptional membership base containing a mix of operational facilities, and some of the largest giga-projects in the world currently under development in the pursuit of the 2030 Saudi Vision. MENALAC as an organization has proven to be consistent in sharing high-quality industry information with its members and host exceptional educational and networking events throughout the year.

“We at ADG are excited to be expanding our business across the MENA region and proud to further our support of the Middle East & North Africa Leisure & Attractions Council by participating as a juror and committee members.”

ADG will be exhibiting at the 2024 DEAL Show and SEA Show in the next months as ADG keeps growing its business within the MENA area. Quay and Kline will both be present at the MENALAC events and tradeshows this year.

Recently, the firm received a Leading Edge Award at the World Waterpark Association Annual Symposium & Trade Show, in recognition of its work on the Roaring Springs Waterpark in Meridian, Idaho.
