ARCO/Murray, a leading design-builder specialising in national rollouts across a wide spectrum of industries, is celebrating the groundbreaking ceremony for Zion Canyon Hot Springs in La Verkin, Utah. This WorldSprings property promises to redefine social wellness in the region. Located just 30 minutes from Zion National Park, the project is expected to open in late 2025.
Zion Canyon Hot Springs will offer 53 bodies of water and a variety of amenities to rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul. A large freshwater pool and whirlpool, 32 natural hot spring pools, 16 meticulously crafted WorldSprings-inspired pools, three stimulating barrel saunas, and three refreshing cold plunge pools will be available.
“We are thrilled to announce Zion Canyon Hot Springs, opening in Fall 2025, welcoming Southern Utah’s worldwide visitors and those of us who call it home,” says Christian Henny, president of Zion Canyon Hot Springs. “We look forward to creating what will become one of the top destinations for relaxation and overall wellness in the greater Zion area.”
Catering to a wide demographic
The location will include separate spaces for families and adults, catering to different travellers. The all-ages family zone will have 14 mineral pools, a cold plunge pool, a barrel sauna, and an expansive freshwater pool and whirlpool. The adult-only component will have 18 mineral pools, 16 WorldSprings pools, two cold plunge pools, and two barrel saunas.
The WorldSprings pools will offer a unique and immersive experience, inspired by world-famous hot springs and perfected by the expertise gained from the extension of Iron Mountain Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. In the family and adult-only sections, mineral pools will be 90 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit to suit different tastes for relaxation.
The ARCO/Murray Sports and Entertainment Team is finishing up construction on the second WorldSprings location near Dallas, Texas, and will be the design-build general contractor on the Zion Canyon Hot Springs project. With more than 35,000 square feet of built space, the entertainment and social wellness idea takes up approximately 70,000 square feet in total.
The design of more than 2,500 feet of piping to access the nearby natural spring water is one of the project’s special challenges. Many intricate pool and pump systems are needed to accommodate the large assortment of water features.
Natural beauty meets luxury relaxation
Once the property is finished, visitors will be able to check in and browse a variety of retail items in the main building. Stairs or a lift will make it easy to access the 1,150 secure lockers in the lower-level locker rooms.
A building devoted to food and drink is also planned, with a separate family area and an adults-only area. VIP cabanas will be available for rent in both areas of the property, enabling visitors to enhance their stay. The adult area will have a full bar liquor licence and the family area will also have a recreational beer-only licence.
Zion Canyon Hot Springs is set to transform Southern Utah’s hospitality scene with its fusion of natural beauty, luxurious facilities, and unrivalled relaxation.
ARCO/Murray recently shared details of a successful project in Katy, Texas, where it helped operators Nick Hermandorfer and Tyler Bambrick bring their Home Run Dugout concept to life.
