The first Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark in Asia opened to the public at Haitang Bay in Sanya, China on May 26.

The waterpark is part of the Atlantis Sanya resort complex. The iconic ocean-themed entertainment resort is the third Atlantis Resort from developer Kerzner International. It further builds on the luxury brand after the Atlantis, The Palm resort in Dubai and the Atlantis in the Bahamas.

At 200,000 sq m, the Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark is the biggest waterpark in Asia.

It has 15 state-of-the-art waterslides.  These are from leading waterpark company ProSlide. There is a full torrent and typhoon river. There is also the signature ‘Leap of Faith’ body slide. This allows visitors to slide through a shark tank at top speeds. There are also hybrid slides from ProSlide such as the bowl/funnel raft slide ‘Tornado Spin’.

The park also has a 1.8-km drifting river. In addition, nineteen mini slideways are specially designed for children.
