Diggerland USA‘s outdoor water park has opened a new wave pool called Claw Hammer Cove, as well as a the Carpool Lane crossing activity pool where giant overhead cranes shower visitors with water.
The 21-acre construction-themed attraction in West Berlin, New Jersey opened its outdoor water park, The Water Main, in 2020. The water park’s expansion also includes additional seating, cabanas and shade structures.
“With the opening of the expanded water park, we now offer more aquatic recreation and exciting water features for all age groups and experience,” said Ilya Girlya, co-owner and co-president of Diggerland USA.
“We want our guests to know that The Water Main is an expansion of our attraction footprint and that we are not removing any of our existing attractions,” Girlya added.

“Even more exciting is being able to design and develop exclusive, unique construction rides that our patrons can only experience while visiting Diggerland USA.”
New rides at The Water Main include the updated Shake N Roll, which features a two-tonne diesel roller along a fixed course, as well as the new Crazy Cranes, which lets guests operate real cranes.
“We like to introduce things that you can see on a real construction site or in the real world,” Girlya told blooloop earlier this year. “These are machines that you wouldn’t be able to touch until you come here, and have the opportunity to try them out.”
Diggerland USA is planning another expansion of The Water Main for 2023, adding a 52-foot slide tower with three slides.
Across the pond, the Diggerland theme park in Devon is set to reopen after closing in September 2021 for the “foreseeable future” as a result of the pandemic. Diggerland also has sites in Kent, Yorkshire and Durham.
