Legoland Water Park Gardaland attractions, areas and opening date unveiled

The attractions and areas that will make up Legoland Water Park Gardaland have been unveiled, as has the official opening date, which is scheduled for May 2020.

Legoland Water Park Gardaland, opening on May 28, 2020, will feature waterslides, rafts, swimming pools and Duplo and Lego bricks.

After passing under the great wave at the entrance, guests will see the Lego River Adventure, which flows through most of the Legoland attraction.

“Legoland Water Park Gardaland will have so many attractions that visitors will be thrilled, whether young or old,” said Luca Marigo, sales and marketing director Gardaland.

“There will also be special themed areas, with lots of colourful waterslides for youngsters and kids of all ages, as well as a creative area where children can discover the fun of building with Duplo and Lego bricks, swimming pools equipped with sunbeds, deck chairs and large gazeboes where families can relax.”

The Miniland zone will house approximately 100 iconic Italian monuments, all constructed from Lego bricks, including the Milan Cathedral and Rome’s Colosseum.

Beach Party will boast play areas, colourful slides, water cannons and a giant bucket, while Lego Creation Island will be dedicated to play, with Lego and Duplo bricks.

Duplo Splash is designed for young children enjoying their first water slides, Jungle Adventure comes with family-friendly waterslides, and Pirate Bay will have a large swimming pool.

In addition, Legoland Water Park Gardaland will include a Legoland shop and a themed refreshment area called the Harbour Restaurant.

As construction work continues, Gardaland is hiring more than 50 staff members to manage the water park. According to a press release, 40 lifeguards are needed.

“We are especially proud to confirm, as we have done in the past, that Gardaland will be creating new professional positions in the leisure market sector,” said Lia Maistrello, HR director Gardaland.

“Moreover, Legoland Water Park Gardaland is a totally innovative and unique entity in the whole of Europe, which requires specific skills!”
