Hawaiian Falls water parks join the Ripley’s family

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Entertainment has announced its acquisition of three Hawaiian Falls outdoor water parks in Texas.

Located in Mansfield, Roanoke, and Waco, Hawaiian Falls water parks offer waterslides, lazy rivers, wave pools and family-friendly splash zones.

Jim Pattison Jr., president of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Entertainment, said in a statement: “Bringing Hawaiian Falls into the Ripley’s family of attractions allows us to expand in one of our favorite states – Texas.”

Ripley’s expands attractions portfolio

The three Hawaiian Falls water parks were previously owned by ProParks Attractions Group, which acquired the venues in 2017, going on to grow attendance and guest satisfaction.

“I am very confident the businesses and the teams will continue to prosper under the ownership of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Entertainment,” said ProParks CEO John Hyltin.

The Mansfield water park is a 13-acre location with the new Turtle Bay splash zone, while the Roanoke venue is a 9-acre park home to one of the largest play structures in North America. The Waco site is an 11-acre water park with 10 waterslides.

The Hawaiian Falls acquisition is part of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Entertainment’s ongoing expansion of its portfolio, which comprises more than 100 attractions across nine countries.

These include Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, Ripley’s Aquariums, Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, Guinness World Record attractions, and many more.

Ripley’s has expanded from a small daily newspaper cartoon drawn by Robert Ripley, which first appeared in 1918, to a global entertainment business.

“The company is 106 years old, give or take, and started as a cartoon,” Pattison told blooloop.

“We basically sell time for families and friends to have fun.”
