Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge will feature interactive tasting experiences and signature drinks

Last month, Disney announced that its latest cruise ship, The Disney Wish, will feature spaces and experiences inspired by Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars when it launches in summer 2022. Now, it has revealed more details of the Star Wars space, which will be called Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge.

In a first, it will be a Star Wars-themed space for adults only, a high-end bar themed as a luxury yacht-class spaceship. It will feature interactive tasting experiences as well as signature drinks that take inspiration from the Star Wars universe.

Cocktails and galaxy-hopping

While guests enjoy their drinks and relax in a sleek venue inspired by luxury starcruisers such as Dryden Vos’ ship from Solo: A Star Wars Story, they will be transported to familiar locations from the films with a series of peaceful and action-packed scenes unfolding in front of the ship’s panoramic viewport.

They will be able to spot famous spaceships as well as locations such as Batuu, Tatooine, Mustafar and Coruscant. The experience will be enhanced by surround-sound audio as well holographic models of nearby ships.

In addition to this, The Disney Wish will also feature Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, featuring characters such as Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf, as well as the Worlds of Marvel where visitors can play an interactive role in an Avengers mission while enjoying a menu inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Visitors will be able to enjoy the Luna entertainment hub, the Hero Zone sports arena, the Walt Disney Theatre, and the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas. The ship is also home to plenty of kid-friendly activities, like Disney’s Oceaneer Club, Fairytale Hall, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, and Marvel Super Hero Academy.

The Disney Cruise Line will also repeat its successful Star Wars Day at Sea next year. This seven-night Caribbean cruise experience will include character meet and greets, costume celebrations, movie screenings, trivia, a scavenger hunt, a deck show, fireworks and more.

Meanwhile, Walt Disney World has also revealed more details ahead of next year’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser immersive vacation experience, including a new realistic lightsaber.
