WhiteWater, a leading manufacturer of water attractions, attended the World Waterpark Association Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, this week and received Leading Edge Awards for three projects that show how landmark water attractions can transform destinations.
Aquarabia Qiddiya City (with Endless Surf, Falcon’s Creative Group, WTI, Life Floor, Sub Sea Systems)
Drawing on the Arabian Peninsula’s landscapes and wildlife, Aquarabia Qiddiya City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, brings storytelling, adventure, and innovation to life across 250,000 square metres and eight themed zones.
It is a landmark, multi-day water park destination featuring 28 water slides, two aquatic play structures, two water-based amusement rides, and the Kingdom’s largest surf pool, an Endless Surf lagoon delivered by WhiteWater.

The project features four record-breaking attractions, led by Junoon Drop, the world’s tallest and longest family water coaster. It also offers a range of rides for guests in both swimwear and streetwear, redefining inclusive guest experiences, particularly in the Middle East.
Surreal at Beach Park
In April, Guinness World Records officially recognised Surreal at Beach Park in Aquiraz, Brazil, as the world’s tallest water coaster.
The Master Blaster + Constrictor + Rattler fusion reaches 28 meters before sending riders into a seven-meter drop. It then delivers a series of uphill blasts and drops, colourful AquaLucent effects, high-banking turns, and oscillations over a 90-second ride, reaching speeds of up to 42 kilometres per hour.

The attraction’s popularity led the park to introduce a fast pass queue management system for the first time in its history.
Sun World Vũng Tàu (with Life Floor)
A landmark development positioning Blanca City as a leading residential and tourism destination in southeast Vietnam, Aqua Adventure at Sun World Vũng Tàu shows how world-class entertainment can stimulate growth and investment.
The park brings together innovative attractions, including Asia’s first Wall Runner, the world’s largest AquaForms 20 aquatic play structure, and the world’s longest children’s water coaster, the Mini Blaster, with themes inspired by the culture and heritage of southern Vietnam.

“We’re incredibly proud to see Aquarabia Qiddiya City, Surreal at Beach Park, and Sun World Vung Tau recognized by the WWA because, while each project is unique, they all share a common ambition: creating signature water attractions that redefine what a destination can be,” says Doug Smith, WhiteWater’s head of sales.
"These awards are a testament to the vision, creativity, and dedication of everyone involved, and we’re especially grateful to our partners for their trust and collaboration to push boundaries together.”
At IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 last month, WhiteWater showcased a year of innovations and major openings across all its brands at a press conference, where it also revealed its latest attractions, technology, and visitor experiences, with a focus on regional developments.
