Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, is celebrating the opening of Giant Revolution at Lotte World Adventure Busan, Korea, the company's first coaster of a new kind.

“We are thrilled to open the first Double Heart in the world and our second project with the Lotte Group- both in 2026,” said CEO Antonio Zamperla.

“This is a landmark project for our company, and we could not be more thrilled to showcase something this innovative with a partner like Lotte World Adventure Busan. It is a fantastic way to continue to celebrate our 60th anniversary."

The Double Heart stands at 50 metres (164 feet), making it the park's tallest attraction. It is also the fastest on site.

“What I love about the experience is that it packs an amazing amount of coaster into 323 meters (1,066 feet) of linear track," says Davide Donadello, Zamperla’s sales and operations manager for China & Korea Region.

"The three launches, the last one reaching a top speed of 110 km/h (68 mph), a near-vertical dive and two inversions happen one after another. The Double Heart offers more thrills per-meter than any other coaster I have been on.”

One of the Double Heart’s key advantages is its compact footprint. Although the coaster stands 50 metres tall, it occupies just 70.1 by 21.2 metres (230 by 70 feet) of ground space.

This lets parks fit it into a variety of areas while keeping installation costs significantly lower than similarly sized coasters.

“We worked to create a dynamic experience that fit in the smallest space possible. It was a challenging project, but the end result is a great ride that demonstrates how far we have come with our roller coaster design and fabrication,” says Elisa Dall Alba, a mathematician who is one of Zamperla’s key roller coaster designers.

Federico Brancaleoni, Zamperla’s design and proposal engineering lead, adds: “The Double Heart is a culmination of the work we have done to make smoother and more exciting coasters, and we couldn’t be prouder of the result.”

The coaster features Zamperla’s Lightning trains, which are celebrated for their comfort and spaciousness and represent a new benchmark in coaster vehicle design. Their generous row spacing also helps parks achieve maximum capacity.

Zamperla joined forces with the Vendée-based O’Parks group at the recent IAAPA Expo Europe in London to unveil four new attractions at O’Fun Park in 2027. The park will mark its 25th anniversary in spring 2027 with four new mechanical attractions, including a Zamperla family rollercoaster.
