Saudi Arabia's Aquarabia water park is set to open in Qiddiya City after this year's Eid al-Fitr holiday, according to Qiddiya leadership.

First reported by the Saudi Gazette, Abdullah Al-Dawood, managing director of Qiddiya Investment Company, confirmed the post-Eid opening in a recent interview.

He said: "Six Flags is open. After Eid al-Fitr, we will open Aquarabia. Every three months, each year, something new will open, gradually shaping the city.”

The 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday runs from 19 March through 20 March.

When it launches, Aquarabia will be the largest water park in the Middle East at 25 hectares, offering 22 rides and experiences by WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer.

Highlights also include the world’s first underwater theme park ride, Aquaticar: Legend of the Glowing Guardian.

This is by Sub Sea Systems, Inc. (SSS), a company specialising in immersive, memorable and hands-on aquatic encounters that educate through entertainment.

At blooloop's Festival of Innovation 2026, the Innovation in Splash session at 9am on 22 January will provide a glimpse into the new Aquarabia water park.
