Parques Reunidos has announced a major expansion of its Aquasplash Antibes water park, which will open on 13 June with more space and new attractions.
The French Riviera water park is expanding by nearly 40 percent with 14,000 square metres of additional space, as well as four new attractions.
"This new season represents much more than the addition of new attractions," said Damien Montay, general manager of Aquasplash Antibes.
“Aquasplash is entering a new dimension, reinforcing its role within the French Riviera by offering an even more immersive, fun and accessible experience," he added.
"With these investments, we aim to further strengthen Aquasplash’s position as the leading water park on the French Riviera.
New waterslides and wave pool
"We have reimagined the park to deliver more enjoyment, laughter and emotion, making it a must-visit destination this summer."
The four new attractions opening at Aquasplash are the Riviera Sphere raft ride, the Azur Fall free-fall slide, the Nice Race parallel slides, and a reimagined wave pool.
Aquasplash Antibes’ new attractions have been developed in collaboration with international partners, with the waterslides by WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer.
As part of the expansion, the park has also refreshed its visual identity with an updated logo.
Parques Reunidos is one of the world’s largest and fastest growing theme park, water park and zoo operators. Its sites include Movie Park Germany, Parque Warner Madrid in Spain and Blackpool Zoo in the UK.
Earlier this year, Parques Reunidos revealed more about its conservation work to protect wetlands.
