Museums, art galleries, cultural institutions, and heritage sites serve an essential role in society as venues for education and dialogue. They are also increasingly acting as regenerative forces, forging greater relevance and meaning within their communities and beyond.

During times of political instability and with the growing threat of climate change, their importance as trusted authorities and educators has become more crucial than ever.

The sixth blooloop 50 Museum Influencer List is presented in association with our good friends at BeWunder, experts in creating multisensory experiences with a wide range of media and technology. It highlights 50 key individuals whose innovation and creativity are essential in shaping the future of museums.

In this free webinar, Charles Read, creative director, blooloop, will be joined by Felix Erdmann, entrepreneur and executive, BeWunder. They will announce the 2025 list, including our Power 10, and highlight the key trends it reveals.

“At BeWunder, we see museums as evolving spaces where ideas, culture, and technology meet. Supporting the blooloop 50 Museum Influencer List is one way we highlight the change-makers redefining the museum experience," says Erdmann.

"Their drive to make cultural spaces more engaging and inclusive resonates with our own commitment to meaningful experiences — and we’re proud to support their vision and contributions to the field”.

Felix Erdmann's passion for multimedia began at age eleven, helping his father organise events. Three years later, he was working for a small equipment rental firm while developing an interest in lighting and designing light shows.

He studied lighting design at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts but found it unsatisfying. He then founded a start-up in Shenzhen selling LED screens and lighting in Southeast Asia and Europe, before returning to Germany, where he worked as a freelance technical planner and project manager on corporate events, exhibitions and TV productions.

In 2013, Erdmann joined Neumann&Müller in Munich, managing large projects including the New Mobility World at IAA Frankfurt and five projects at EXPO 2017 in Kazakhstan. Afterwards, he moved to Dubai, becoming director of the company's new “System Integration” unit. He was responsible for building a unit to design and deliver complex multimedia systems for museums and expos, with the aim of becoming a key player at EXPO 2020.

In 2019, he was appointed managing director for Neumann&Müller's Middle East operations, responsible for the strategic expansion of the business across all units in the Middle East region. Erdmann is a determined driver of future success and organisational growth. With teams reporting to him in Berlin, Munich, and Dubai, he values the energy that international and multicultural teams bring to companies.

In 2022, Erdmann was given the opportunity to pursue a management buy-out of the two Neumann&Müller subsidiaries he was managing. Together with his co-managing director, the partners took full ownership of these subsidiaries and subsequently rebranded to BeWunder. Since then, the business has experienced double-digit annual growth, opened new offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Tokyo, and expanded its service portfolio to become a turnkey solution provider within its industry.
