AV Stumpfl, Austrian award-winning creator of mobile and installation projection screens, multi-display and show control systems, has assisted a vehicle manufacturer with a major product launch.
The technology firm assisted premium motorhome brand Niesmann+Bischoff with the launch of its latest model, Flair, on 7 July 2022. With the new vehicle boasting an artful interior design and state-of-the-art technology, AV Stumpfl was commissioned with helping deliver a flawless technical performance for the PR launch.
Since it was founded in 1955, Niesmann+Bischoff has focused on making its customers feel at home on the road. The German company regularly updates its product portfolio of stylish campers with innovations and improvements to meet the exacting standards of its clients.
Austrian event designer Thomas Hödlmoser was entrusted with delivering the technical aspects of a marketing presentation as part of Flair’s world premiere. This year, the event was held at the panoramic scalaria event resort near Salzberg, Austria.
Over 250 international guests gathered at the picturesque site which is a frequent host of Niesmann+Bischoff events, and the destination of choice for new model product launches.
Hödlmoser says: “It was of great importance to make it possible for the audience to experience the philosophy, the general spirit and the high standards Niesmann+Bischoff follows in terms of design and minimalism.
“We needed to develop an approach that was truly elegant, and would not appear obtrusive, but would allow enough space for content to be displayed.”
Project stakeholders opted to avoid the standard slide presentation style, instead opting for a display concept developed by Hödlmoser where the new model’s interior and exterior could be showcased by the presenter using a tablet in real-time.
The definitive setup was extremely important to ensure a smooth performance: “You hand over the tablet a few moments before the show and have to be able to ensure that no part of the setup will let you down, since we really wanted to convey the smooth haptic feel of a tablet and fully apply it to the extra-large 4K projection.”
PIXERA, AV Stumpfl’s next-gen media server system, was a key component of the Flair presentation.
“We succeeded in creating an ultra-fast connection between the tablet and the media server. We were able to display any input on the device, every effect, and every turn of the models in ultra-high definition as if someone were just filming the tablet. The PIXERA system’s ability to capture 4K sources nearly latency-free was a great advantage from the word ‘go’.”
A PIXERA two Quad server from AV Stumpfl was used for both the indoor and outdoor spaces, in conjunction with grandMA2 lighting consoles. The grand presentation, lasting for several hours, helped Niesmann+Bischoff to maintain its stylish brand image and gain positive feedback for the Flair model.
AV Stumpfl was a major exhibitor at ISE 2022, using its technologies to create an immersive art space at the Barcelona trade show.
