Manchester City has released the first concept images of the Etihad Stadium expansion, which includes a new fan experience and entertainment destination.
In December, Manchester City announced plans to expand the North Stand, which would increase the capacity of the Etihad Stadium to more than 60,000.
The expanded and covered fan zone, called ‘City Square’, would feature new F&B outlets, a new shop, a museum and a hotel, offering a year-round entertainment experience.
If a planning application is submitted and approved, the building work would take place over a three-year period.

The project is “building on the club’s ongoing commitment to invest in and develop its facilities for the benefit of its fans and visitors”, said Manchester City.
Since 2008, City Football Group has overseen investments of more than £700 million into the Etihad Campus and East Manchester.
Following the club’s feasibility studies, fans and the local community can now share their feedback and comments through 26 March. Detailed information on Manchester City’s concepts are available to view here.
Additionally, a temporary exhibition space in City Square at the Etihad Stadium is open from 4 March through 26 March.

Three consultation events are taking place in East Manchester – at Beswick Library on 9 March, the National Cycling Centre on 13 March, and Church of the Apostles on 15 March.
Elsewhere, the Manchester Museum has reopened for the first time in nearly two years with a new extension and galleries.
“Beautiful new galleries and exhibitions will showcase the best of the museum’s historic collections, as well as addressing the urgencies of the present day and highlighting the complexities of our world,” said Esme Ward, the director of the Manchester Museum.
In Wales, the government is providing an additional £5.4 million for the development of a national football museum in Wrexham.
