Balich Wonder Studio, a global entertainment group creating award-winning ceremonies, brand experiences, immersive shows, and destination experiences, has partnered with Fondazione Arena di Verona to present an immersive concert with three-dimensional projections to celebrate Antonio Vivaldi‘s iconic Four Seasons, coinciding with the 300th anniversary of the composer’s masterpiece.

The show celebrates the music in conjunction with Fondazione Arena di Verona, a production company renowned worldwide for the calibre of its work, combined with state-of-the-art technology from Balich Wonder Studio, a global pioneer in live entertainment and accredited for Olympic Ceremonies from Rio 2016 to FIFA Qatar 2022.

This creative reinterpretation will appeal to younger audiences as well, and there is even a special under-30 promotion with all tickets priced at 28 euros, specifically intended for young people.

Classical score meets modern immersive tech

The concept, which was created by Marco Balich and is co-produced by Fondazione Arena di Verona, combines the immersive technology of today with the 29-piece orchestra, which plays music in a way that is strictly loyal to Vivaldi’s original score. The performers include violinist Giovanni Andrea Zanon, a rising star in the music industry, winner of the most important international competitions, and professor at the Arena di Verona Orchestra.

Classical music accompanies a multi-sensory, visionary performance that reimagines tradition. A spectacular series of advanced three-dimensional visuals will honour the wonders of nature with the musical accompaniment of The Four Seasons.

In The Four Seasons, an ode to Planet Earth and a profound meditation on time passing and life being renewed, Marco Balich, in partnership with Fondazione Arena, creates a voyage that follows the success of Giudizio Universale, the play about Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel. Balich creates visuals that dance across the stalls and captivate the audience, transporting them into an exhilarating world. His inspirations include the grandeur of the Roman Coliseum and the overwhelming tones of the Venetian composer.

Cecilia Gasdia, superintendent of Fondazione Arena di Verona, says: “We create new opportunities of the highest level to bring young people closer to classical music. This technology will land in an open-air theatre for the first time, a unicum that deserves its debut in the Arena.”

Marco Balich, the show’s creative director, adds, “This revolutionary show represents a challenge for me and our team: to inspire young people and new generations to a powerful reflection on the nature, time, and beauty of our world and to make them proud and aware of our artistic and cultural heritage.”

Tickets are available here.

Earlier this year, Balich Wonder Studio named Tom Van Hemelryck as group chief business officer. The company will also be exhibiting for the first time at IAAPA Expo Asia 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, from 27 to 30 May.
