Ingūna Elere is creative lead and partner at Design Studio H2E in Riga, Latvia.

Elere is a globally recognised creative professional specialising in spatial, exhibition, and graphic design. As a professor at the Art Academy of Latvia, she mentors and educates future cultural designers. Her approach views design as an interdisciplinary tool capable of delivering powerful messages across space and time. She consistently combines concept and emotion, crafting experiences that are both visually striking and profoundly memorable.

Under her creative leadership, H2E has established itself as a prominent design studio in Europe, recognised for shaping national memory, identity, and civic discourse through its innovative work. A notable example is the Memorial to the Victims of Soviet Occupation, which employs exhibition design to promote remembrance and resilience. This and other projects highlight H2E’s dedication to highlighting historical truth through detailed, immersive storytelling.

Elere and her studio have received numerous international awards, including two SEGD Global Design Awards Best of Show titles, as well as Red Dot and iF Design Awards. These honours highlight her studio’s commitment to outstanding design and cultural significance.

Beyond her design work, Elere has significantly contributed to Latvia’s design community. Since 2017, H2E has been responsible for organising the National Design Award of Latvia for the Ministry of Culture, promoting higher design standards and recognising excellence in various fields.
