The companies will present the new innovation at IAAPA Expo 2025 in Orlando this week

Intamin, a creator of record-breaking amusement rides, and ETF Ride Systems, a leading ride designer and manufacturer, have joined forces to introduce an innovative new ride system, the Multi Dimension Mover.

ETF Ride Systems designs innovative ride solutions for theme parks, museums, and events worldwide. With over 800 vehicles installed, it's known for reliable track-bound and trackless dark ride systems operating on ground, air, and water, providing high uptime, low maintenance, and flexible, theme-tailored designs.

Intamin is known for custom, out-of-the-ordinary rides. Its extensive portfolio, the largest in the sector, includes over 1,000 installations, such as roller coasters, water rides, tower rides, and immersive experiences. It's especially recognised for its advancements in roller coaster launch systems.

Utilising its extensive expertise, it continually seeks to innovate traditional amusement rides, exemplified by the creation of the world’s first launched Flume Ride and the recent introduction of special Flume elements.

Both companies, proud family-owned businesses, have been driven by their passion, innovation, and dedication to high-quality ride systems.

When ETF Ride Systems joined the Intamin family in July 2024—while maintaining its independence and separate management structure—it set the stage for future collaborations and combined strengths, exemplified by projects like the Multi Dimension Mover.

Combined expertise for an all-new experience

Intamin and ETF Rides Systems present the Multi Dimension Mover, a hybrid dark ride system that combines the manoeuvrability of a trackless vehicle with a launch section and Multi Dimension Elements of Intamin's roller coasters.

The omnidirectional movement of the chassis, combined with unlimited cabin rotation, provides a dynamic, fully customisable experience based on the Dynamic Mover ride system from ETF ride systems. The vehicle and cabin can each rotate up to 10 rpm. When both the vehicle and the top rotate together, they can reach a combined rotation of up to 20 rpm.

This enables a wide range of manoeuvres, such as drifting and more. An optional Tilt & Roll up to 8° can be included to add extra movements to the cabin.

Vehicles can be launched with a propulsion system reaching speeds of up to 36 km/h, making it seven times faster than a standard trackless dark ride system.

The proven ETF Trackless system enables flexible and space-efficient layouts, thereby reducing infrastructure and installation costs. It also provides the flexibility to alter the overall layout with minimal site modifications.

Based on ETF Rides Systems’ Dynamic Mover, the vehicle can accelerate up to 1.5m/s², and the cabin can rotate up to 10rpm. When both the vehicle and the cabin rotate, it can reach up to 20rpm.

The attraction is powered by an onboard electric supercapacitor and battery storage system, ensuring continuous operation.

Optional interactive elements in the vehicles, such as shooters, pointers, and selection buttons, can trigger effects on the vehicles or the scenery. Fully adaptable vehicle theming is also offered to fit any storyline.
