Modulo Pi, a provider of media server solutions with a user-friendly design, has celebrated its 15th anniversary with clients and collaborators at Atelier des Lumières, Paris.
The event on 19 November offered a moment to look back at the beginnings of the media server manufacturer and to spotlight its expertise in immersive and interactive projects.

15 years of innovation
Clients, distributors, partners, operators, and creative studios came together to mark this milestone anniversary and revisit the story of the company established in 2010 by engineer Yannick Kohn.
In his speech, Kohn said: "The early days of Modulo Pi were all about passion, heads bursting with ideas, and countless hours of development — with no investors, simply driven by the desire to create a tool truly tailored to real-world field needs."

This ambition resulted in the launch of Modulo Player in 2012 and Modulo Kinetic in 2016.
These two distinct platforms were created for different purposes. Modulo Player is a straightforward and reliable tool for everyday projects, and Modulo Kinetic is designed for large-scale shows, interactivity, and real-time applications.
The company has since established itself as a leader in France and has expanded internationally, collaborating with distributors in Japan, China, the Benelux region, the US, and Canada, as well as through its own direct operations.
Its solutions are widely used in the event sector, from corporate events to fashion and live shows, and permanent installations for theme parks, museums, and immersive venues.
Collaborative spirit
The celebration was held at the Atelier des Lumières digital art centre, which opened in 2018. The venue is equipped with 140 video projectors and 35 Modulo Kinetic media servers.
Guests could explore the venue illuminated with Modulo Pi’s colours, relive key moments of the company’s journey through videos chronicling fifteen years of technological and human achievements, and experience the immersive exhibition The Little Prince, designed by Spectre Lab.
They could also experience the new Kids’ Atelier, a 160-square-metre interactive immersive room which opened this year. Powered by the latest Modulo Kinetic features, visitors’ drawings are scanned and integrated into the space's projection in real time, enabling direct interaction with the wall content.

Since their initial launch, the Modulo Player and Modulo Kinetic platforms have continued to develop through strong relationships with clients and end users.
"What I’m most proud of, in the end, is not just the technology," said Kohn, "it’s the spirit we’ve managed to preserve: staying accessible, listening to real field needs, continuing to innovate based on our clients’ projects, and striving to remain simple, even on very complex setups."
Interactivity is a significant development focus for Modulo Pi and will be a focus of the company's booth at #5F220 at ISE 2026 in Barcelona, where it will present new features of its media servers.
Earlier this year, the company supplied its Modulo Kinetic media server solution to La Clusaz’s Beau Regard Station in the French Alps, for the immersive experience, Libertaz.
