Hugo Roche has served as managing director of Sysco Productions for the last 25 years, during which time he has worked with some of the UK’s leading museums and galleries on a range of acclaimed exhibitions and visitor experiences.
Sysco Productions, a world-class experience delivery company, was founded in 1998 to meet the growing demand for specialist multi-disciplined systems integrators. In one early project, the company worked with one of the principal contractors for London’s Millennium Dome, which led to an ongoing collaboration with designers and specialists in the museums and visitor attractions industry
Working in partnership with a wide range of creative and technical specialist teams, Roche has been an advocate for the use of innovative technology as an effective storytelling medium within the museum environment. His in-depth industry experience allows him to offer valuable advice on the potential of cutting-edge technology solutions and to guide the decision-making process for museum projects.
Roche brings an understanding of the balance between technology and story narrative, meaning that his projects allow AV elements to act as a delivery mechanism for a theme or idea, without overshading the content itself. He has also guided on suitable integration techniques within museum environments, particularly heritage sites where a sensitive and thoughtful approach needs to be considered so that historic features are protected and preserved.
