London’s latest visitor experience, the Chimney Lift, will be operated by IMG when Battersea Power Station opens to the public in 2022.
The Chimney Lift is a unique viewing platform that climbs 109 metres up the interior of the North West chimney, offering incredible views of London.
“We are excited to be able to give future visitors a preview of the breathtaking views they will be able to enjoy from our unique Chimney Lift,” said Sam Cotton, head of leasing at Battersea Power Station Development Company.
The experience, which can accommodate around 30 guests, begins in Turbine Hall A with an immersive exhibition celebrating the history of the Power Station.
Unique viewing platform in London
Once completed, Battersea Power Station will boast 253 residential apartments, unique event spaces, and more than 100 shops and F&B outlets.
“We are creating a new destination in London, which will offer visitors an experience like no other,” added Cotton. “This year is going to be the most exciting yet in the transformation of Battersea Power Station.”
Battersea Power Station will also feature green spaces including the Power Station Park and Malaysia Square, designed by Bjarke Ingels.
Circus West Village, the first phase in the regeneration of Battersea Power Station, boasts more than 20 bars, restaurants and leisure offerings, including the Turbine Theatre, DNA VR and Archlight Cinema.
